Dafina Beqiri is a dedicated professional in the field of peacebuilding, dialogue, and mediation with over a decade of experience working in conflict affected and post-conflict contexts. With a background in international relations, grant management, advocacy and civil society engagement, she has contributed to numerous initiatives focused on social cohesion, community resilience, and gender-sensitive mediation. Her work has spanned grassroots reconciliation efforts, institutional capacity-building, and advocacy for inclusive peace processes.
Dafina joined the Mediterranean Women Mediators Network to amplify the voices of women in peace and security and to strengthen cross-Mediterranean cooperation in addressing shared challenges. Her motivation stems from a deep belief that sustainable peace can only be achieved through inclusive dialogue, where women play central roles not only as beneficiaries but as leaders and decision-makers.
She has facilitated interethnic dialogue in the Balkans, contributed to EU-funded mediation projects, and trained women leaders in conflict transformation techniques. Her experience bridges policy level engagement and community-based action, making her a committed and versatile mediator.
As a member of the Network, Dafina aims to contribute her field expertise, foster regional collaborations, and mentor emerging women peacebuilders. She sees the Network as a vital platform to exchange best practices and promote gender-responsive peace efforts in the Mediterranean and beyond.
