Giulia Ferraro is a peacebuilding and international cooperation professional based in Rome. She works to bridge high-level policy with local conflict resolution efforts, advocating for peace mediation and dialogue as essential tools for social cohesion and conflict prevention.

Her experience spans project management, advocacy, and institutional engagement, with a focus on women’s participation in peace processes, strong governance for social cohesion, and mediation support structures. She has collaborated with international organisations and networks across Europe, the MENA region, and the Horn of Africa to promote more effective and inclusive mediation systems.

Beyond mediation, Giulia helps peacebuilding organisations strengthen their governance and operational structures, ensuring they are effective and sustainable. She believes that only through strong institutions and systems can peace mediation efforts achieve lasting impact and resist external and internal shocks.

With a background in law and conflict resolution, she has contributed to research on peace mediation and regularly speaks at forums on mediation and diplomacy.
