Alba Jakupi is a National Program Officer at the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, where she focuses on Women, Peace and Security (WPS), Youth, Peace and Security (YPS), peacebuilding, and conflict transformation. She holds a BA in Political Science and an MA in Transitional Justice, Human Rights, and Rule of Law from the University of Geneva and the Geneva Graduate Institute. Alba is certified at an advanced level in Mediation and Conflict Resolution by OCN Northern Ireland and is currently engaged in Mediation Practice Sessions at the Glencree Centre for Peace & Reconciliation. Her approach integrates institutional engagement with grassroots dialogue. She supported the International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ) by assisting a legal advocate working with South Sudan’s Technical Committee on establishing the Commission on Truth, Reconciliation, and Healing.
Before joining OSCE, she worked with various civil society organizations including Lëvizja FOL, Debate Center, UNICEF Innovation Lab, and the Prishtina Institute for Political Studies. At the Global Migration Centre, she focused on forced migration in African conflict zones. As an external expert with the Jahjaga Foundation, she contributed to work on gender equality and youth in transitional justice.
Alba is an alumna of the OSCE Dialogue Academy and international programs such as the Swedish Institute’s SAYP, CIFE’s peacebuilding initiative, and the Fund for American Studies. As a member of the Mediterranean Women Mediators Network, she is committed to advancing inclusive mediation and women’s participation in peace processes, while fostering regionally connected, locally grounded approaches to conflict resolution.
