Maysem Mabruk is a highly accomplished development and humanitarian professional recognized for her impactful contributions to peacebuilding and mediation within the complex dynamics of Libya and the Mediterranean region. With expertise in migration governance and crisis response she has played a pivotal role in fostering inclusive and sustainable solutions.

As a Senior Program Manager with the Swiss Embassy, Maysem was at the forefront of mediation efforts, liaising with embassies and the Ministry of Governance to navigate political and humanitarian challenges. Her strategic engagement fostered critical dialogue among key stakeholders, demonstrating her ability to build consensus in complex environments.

A passionate advocate for women’s participation in peace processes, she collaborated with UN Women in Libya, leading dialogue between community activists and the government to highlight the needs of internally displaced women (IDPs) as part of the UN durable solution road map for Libya.
