On the 17 th July 2025 the Mediterranean Women Mediators Network Cyprus Antenna hosted a screening of the documentary Pray the Devil Back to Hell (2008).
The screening of this acclaimed documentary, which tells the remarkable story of a group of women in Liberia who came together to end their country’s civil war through peaceful protests, was followed by an interactive discussion led by Maria Hadjipavlou (MWMN Cyprus antenna member) and Umut Bozkurt (Associate Professor, Dept. of Political Science & International Relations), and was the perfect setting for a vibrant reflection on the role of women in peace processes, dialogue across communities, and inspiration going forward.
